Oluchi says Nigeria has a very strong tourism economy because of its natural beauty. Nigeria’s national parks, nature reserves and substantial mixture of wild animals makes it a treasure.
While working at a tour operator Oluchi met people from all over the world and this gave her a taste for travel. She says The Netherlands is perfect for her – lots of greenery, all the comforts of back home and very easy access to the rest of Europe.
Back to The Netherlands – one day on a bus ride in Rotterdam she there was an old couple on the bus. They had a suitcase on wheels, the type with the extendable handles. The bus suddenly braked quite hard and the suitcase tipped over, looking like it was making an escape for the bus doors.
Instantly a guy standing nearby kicked his leg out and caught the suitcase with his foot. Oluchi says it looked like a ninja side-kick and was damn funny. The old guy took his suitcase back and gave the ninja guy a bow in thanks. To which the ninja guy did a ballet twirl and bowed back.
Oluchi says it caused a lot of smiles, this dance sequence amongst strangers on the bus.
